Reston, Virginia, March 16, 2011 - Daon announced today that it has been awarded a subcontract by CACI International Inc to support the U.S. Military Entrance Processing Command (USMEPCOM) as part of CACI’s contract to develop the Virtual Interactive Processing System (VIPS).
The 3.5-year contract is part of USMEPCOM's efforts to streamline its accession process for military applicants. VIPS is a paper-free system that will modernize and automate the infrastructure that is used to qualify, evaluate and process applicants for the uniformed services, Coast Guard and National Guard. Daon will aid CACI and USMEPCOM by providing identity assurance software, a critical piece of the VIPS infrastructure.
Tom Grissen, CEO for Daon, said, “Daon is proud to continue its support for the CACI team in serving the U.S. Military Entrance Processing Command’s Virtual Interactive Processing System. Our identity assurance solutions will integrate seamlessly into the system and will be used to verify the identities of applicants and track them throughout the multi-stage military accession process, ultimately boosting efficiency and effectiveness.”
