Ice IX trojan targets online banking

Printer FriendlyPrinter FriendlyShareShare

Cyber criminals targeting online banking have created a modified version of the ZeuS trojan, Ice IX, that targets not only customer login information but also their phone numbers. The phone number information enables the criminals to bypass traditional two-factor authentication for account transactions. Read reports on Ice IX in Bank InfoSecurity and PCWorld.

IdentityX, an awarding winning cyber security platform which uses Daon's software, offers a different way to authenticate online transactions and logical access requests - out-of-band identity verifcation using the end user's smart phone or tablet. Intrigued? Learn more at IdentityX.com or stop by the InfoSecurity Ireland booth, #123, at the RSA Conference in San Franscisco February 28-March 1 to see a demo.
