Daon’s National ID Solution is a complete application for issuing and maintaining national identity documents, with the associated national population register as the backbone of the national infrastructure for providing identity assurance services to both government and private sector entities.

Biometric technology is fully integrated to prevent fraudulent enrollment and issuance. Equally important, the solution is built upon an overall security framework that maintains data integrity from enrollment through storage and document production. In addition, National ID protects citizen privacy and defends this critical infrastructure from cyber attack.  

Like all Daon solutions, this solution is designed as an open architecture that supports integration with legacy systems or separately procured portions of an overall National ID solution. 

This modularity provides our customers with long-term flexibility in the face of rapidly evolving national requirements and emerging new technologies. For instance, the Daon National ID solution supports both local and centralized concepts of operation for enrollment and production of smart chip identity documents. We can support any combination of biometrics, from any supplier - and can easily change these in the future without major ripples throughout the software architecture.
