Department of Labour's Immigration Biometrics Evaluation

Daon's software and services have been selected for use by the New Zealand Department of Labour to support the Immigration Biometrics Evaluation contract, which will collect, store and match finger and face biometric data using fixed, portable and handheld biometric capture stations.

The key business processes which will be evaluated for biometric use include visa processing and border control. The technologies being evaluated during the trial include leading biometric acquisition devices, fraud investigation tools, handheld devices, and various forms of authentication.
