Biometric Identity Assurance

Daon has introduced a range of products for a wide variety of applications. Daon’s products may be broadly categorized as Platform (providing the identity management within the overall identity solution), Tools, and Applications.

Platform

DaonEngine-This is the core flagship platform that enables customers to manage biometric data and associated identity functions in a scalable, reliable and secure manner. With DaonEngine, organizations can leverage multi-modal biometric technologies (face, finger, iris, DNA, hand geometry, voice, and others) and multi-factor authentication technologies (smart cards, RFID, passports, passwords, ID cards, and others) to provide a broad range of services including verification, identification, watchlist management, investigation, identity issuance and more. This capability is delivered through a true service oriented architecture enabling rapid integration with complimentary COTS products and seamless integration into a customer's business environment.

SnapIns-DaonEngine is designed to provide inherent support for multiple biometric modes and capabilities. Unlike systems designed to support a single biometric mode into which other biometrics are added later, DaonEngine is biometric technology neutral meaning there is no bias towards specific biometrics devices or matching algorithms. A key concept in supporting this is our “SnapIn” framework. A SnapIn encapsulates a biometric matching algorithm, typically provided by a third-party vendor. SnapIns may offer biometric verification, identification, and transformation capabilities or provide a means of interface to other external systems.

Applications

DaonEnroll-DaonEnroll is a highly configurable platform for building encounter applications.  DaonEnroll meets a critical need in programs where a person must be physically present to either establish their identity with identity documents and/or provide physical characteristics such as a biometric.

Daon Enrollment Manager-This is a configurable enterprise software product which constructs an enrollment business process around strong identity capture or enrollment applications. When the enrollment process requires multiple steps or multiple roles, this application instantiates and orchestrates the business process including all points when user intervention is required, including assessment and credential issuance.

Unified ID-Unified ID a turn-key system that provides secure biometric enrollment, verification, and provisioning to logical and physical access systems. Built on the powerful Daon platform, it pulls together many Daon products into a single deployable product.

Credential Connect-Our Credential Connect product provisions users from identity management systems to physical and logical access control systems enabling the use of new, single use, common credentials across an enterprise. Credential Connect forms the pipeline of cardholder data between a central Identity Management System and both the Physical Access Control System (PACS) and Logical Access Control System (LACS).

Tools

DaonAnalytics-Although Daon utilizes a number of technical tools such as capture and smart card frameworks, and software development kits (SDKs), Daon Analytics provides an accurate scientific toolset for the measurement of biometric device and algorithm performance in pilot and operational projects. Its enables organizations to understand the real-world performance of biometric components and tailor their deployments to optimize performance.
