Governments, airports and airlines around the world are implementing Registered Traveler, e-Gate and other Trusted Traveler programs designed to facilitate the swift processing of known or frequent travelers, allowing security resources to be allocated to support the remaining unknown passengers. The concept is based in the theory that more time and resources should be spent reviewing unknown travelers, as opposed to those who have submitted their information in a Trusted Traveler program.
